I did this project at a time of transition, a time when transformation was an unavoidable condition. I dwelt on the nature of hair, on how it represents much more than just an aesthetic element. They are a living tissue, a memory that grows, accumulates and leaves behind traces of itself. They are matter that lends itself to collective and personal narrative, a symbol of power, of mourning, of rebirth.

In this work I have explored their value as a sign of identity and transition, trying to visually and conceptually restore their cultural weight, the way they speak of us without the need for words.

Ho realizzato questo progetto in un periodo di passaggio, un momento in cui la trasformazione era una condizione inevitabile. Mi sono soffermato sulla natura dei capelli, su come essi rappresentino molto più di un semplice elemento estetico. Sono un tessuto vivente, una memoria che cresce, si accumula e si lascia dietro tracce di sé. Sono materia che si presta alla narrazione collettiva e personale, simbolo di potere, di lutto, di rinascita.

In questo lavoro ho esplorato il loro valore come segno di identità e transizione, cercando di restituire visivamente e concettualmente il loro peso culturale, il modo in cui parlano di noi senza bisogno di parole.
